What I perceived to be the purpose of this piece is to allow my reader to see what I am addressing by Racial Controversy. My intended audience could be anyone considering I am just saying what I feel about Racial Controversy and my opinion. Questions I asked myself while writing this piece were “Why is this important to me?” and “Why should someone care?” What I learned from this piece is that race is still discriminated today but not just by black and white people but as much more. My strengths of this piece are addressing the problem and seeing that race is much bigger than what it is taken to be. Weaknesses of mine in this piece is word choice and organization and grammar because this was my first piece written this year. I do not have any questions. This assignment made me realize how much I use repeated words in my “voice of writing” and how I need to fix it.
